Hanky Day
on: November 22, 2012, 01:23:29 PM
To some people this is Thanksgiving
though I am thankful to me this is Hanky Day. Let me explain.

5 years ago today (it too was the 22nd)  I lost my father.

After 30 + years of blaming him for everything wrong in my life I am proud and relieved to say I can think about him and the word  B__tard doesn't come to mind.

Today I invite you to the first
Hanky Day in honor of my father
(he insisted we carry one everywhere)

If you have lost a love one and would like to join me in this memorial
 please feel free.

Thanks for being a blessing to me and an extended part of my family.

I don't actually have a hanky..... but I think I will pick one up.  I've been fence sitting on it for years but I think I'll actually make the move since I hear everyone else is EDCing them- there must be something to it.

You can use a clean one to put pressure on am open wound, make a tourniquet, a sling, etc.  you can use it to wipe off sweat, soak in cold water to keep from overheating.  Offer to a lady if she is crying.  Very useful actually and one of the Boy Scouts ten essentials.  Happy Hanky Day Def!

My fathers sentiments too. Just too many to be without one.
Tie it around a stick and have a hobo suitcase.

I tend to carry a Buff. Fulfils all hanky duties and a couple of others too.

Happy Hanky Day Aaron  :tu:

I see that point haste reading this on my phone, i missed it was Swiss man that i should have wished a Happy Hanky Day to.  Apologies.  I am really not a fan of tapatalk and the way it shows things but this one was all my fault.     Hope hanky day ends up meaning something good to you.

A blessed Hanky Day to all.
In memory of my Dad who passed away 2 years ago last month.
He was faithful to the end.
