I just got a new paper shredder. Of course it got jammed immediately since I'm so impatient. But it was quickly fixed thanks to my Swisschamp's pliers.

Great use Reinier! They look like the perfect tool for the job. How can anyone go wrong with a Swisschamp?

I used a Swisschamp to open up my Yamaha receiver in order to diagnose a problem.

The culprit turned out to be the DTS chip that was borked. A common problem with several receivers from different brands... A replacement PCB would set me back a whopping €400 :(
I just bought an entry level Denon receiver instead.

That’s a shame Reinier
I have a Yamaha amplifier the AX-497
and a Yamaha CDX-497 CD player
Just cleaned both of them out
And cleaned the lens of the cd player
As it kept skipping songs  >:(

Did that fix the skipping problem?
I still like Yamaha stuff.
In fact, I just ordered an R-N303D/CD-S300 set to replace my Marantz Melody Media

That’s a nice looking system Reinier  :like:
Had to look it up on google  :D
I haven’t connected my stereo up yet
But I am sure it will sort out the skipping
This is the first time I cleaned the lens on this CD player
I bought the system back in 2009 :tu:

I disassembled my clothes dryer with the Swisstank yesterday, so I could replace the heating element; and had to pull a door off its hinges to get the dryer to a spot where I could work on it. The SwissTank's Phillips head screwdriver was a rock star throughout the operation.

I've been back and forth from home to camp on the weekends, getting our summer home ready for winter. The SwissTank's small pliers have proven invaluable for removing the plugs from all of the pool inflatables.

Yesterday found my family and I tailgating for the last game of the season for our hometown baseball team. Our friends brought a lime for their Mexican-style lager, but forgot to cut it up before they left. She asked if I had a knife, to which my son replied, 'Of course he does! He always has a knife with him!' and then ran to the glove box to retrieve the SwissChamp from my wife's car. After making quick work of the lime, I used the main blade again to cut up our foot long sandwiches in to something a bit more manageable. Just another day in the life of a SwissChamp.

I opened 2 boxes for someone giving me a dirty look about knives,(not even my job) all I got was tape glue on the blade.  Fortunately,  boss said- Oh Swiss Army, I take one hiking!
