Used my Pioneer awl to cut a thread off my wifes new jersey as the main blade needs a touch up after cutting under floor heating fibreglass mats all friday. Used the flat SD to scrape some labels of a glass jar for washing and reusing

My boss put his foot through a plastic pallet this afternoon and got stuck there, couldn't get his foot out at all.

Fortunately I was nearby, with a Swiss Army knife right at hand! I pulled my Trailmaster from my pocket, opened the saw, and had him free in a trice.

I should have told him I had to amputate his foot... ah well, another day.

Hope for this to be done during the challenge as well, but the parts arrived late.

The lights on the kitchen smoke exhaust got broken and they really help sometimes when cooking in the evening.

I found the replacement parts on AliExpress for like 10-15 bucks for a set of two, but then I disassembled them, found that they consist of simple white LEDs and ordered 200 of those for about 3$

Today I decided to get it done, so used Work Champ to first unscrew the enclosure

As I disassembled those lights previously I found the broken LEDs using a multimeter and marked with a black marker so they’d be easier to find and replace

As I attempted to remove the broken ones it turned out that pliers would be of much help pulling LEDs out of the board

Little by little all 5 broken LEDs were replaced and the smoke exhaust shines like a Christmas tree

I used a Cybertool to disassemble my Neato Botvac and to put it back together. The lidar drive belt needed replacing (a €30 fix :( :( ).

Nice job Reinier! My Cybertool has a permanent home in a kitchen drawer and is my go-to tool for most minor repairs. That bit driver is just so handy!

Thanks! Mine lives in the kitchen drawer as well, except when I'm carrying it. It's my most used SAK :tu:

Thanks, bud, though no luck this time - has it working for a moment, but a second later in attempt to make it even better I burned down the LED and now I honestly doubt it’ll ever work as intended again
Damn SMB components
(Image removed from quote.)

It took quite some time for a set of 200 () SMD blue LEDs to arrive from Aliexpress, but I managed to make it almost perfect again today.

Pros: it works as it should

Cons: the new LED looks just a tad different if you look really close - pops out in the picture, but real life difference is absolutely subtle.

Also it turns out those guys at IK Multimedia decided to only allow LEDs to shine if you use their proprietary mode together with their buggy app. I can't do that because it forces my Bias FX 2 to crash every time I switch the scene, so other than pleasing my itch to tinker it didn't really make a difference

Work Champ helped with the screws again of course with that awesome long slim Phillips and also scissors were used to cut an SMD LED from the packaging

P.S.: it’s a Bluetooth MIDI switch I use for playing guitar through my Mac called iRig BlueBoard in case anyone is interested

And more:

One of the locks has become really stiff, so Work Champ to unscrew it, spray with WD-40, add some graphite powder and assemble back.

Improved slightly, but not perfect, so a metal file finished the job

The tension appeared due to addition of the insulating tape to eliminate noise and retain the warmth, but a bit of filing and graphite powered do magic

After all of those heroic deeds I thanked my Work Champ with a slight touch up and made it scary sharp in like 30 seconds

Now I consider Saturday a total success and head over to the beach

Tweezers with ruler, or with scale. You can find them on 111mm Garant models and the Black Ice Trekker and Spartan.
