Ive been recently bullied into using my SwissChamp.

Did so in an unorthodox way. Opened a package from a member here using my SC can opener. It cut the tape pretty easy  :tu:

A few uses today for the Huntsman: Used the saw to push open a public trash can, so i could properly dispose of the poop bags. Knife opened letters and the toothpick checked if the cupcakes I made were done. They were  :D

We were having lots of fun outdoors today - wakeboarding, SUP, hammocks and so on. During lunch preps it turned out that we need to open two cans of corn for a quesadilla cooked on an open fire, but don’t have a dedicated can opener. I said hold my coffee, ladies and gentlemen, while my Work Champ does the job

Sorry, no pics - would have been too odd for the occasion, but I enjoyed the moment nonetheless

One more thing: I feel I’m getting really good at using SAK can openers - takes no time and zero effort now

Dream. Wish. Leave nothing undone. Repeat.

Always a good use... There's not any things that are good at opening cans besides a can opener. There's not many things that are as good as food cooked outdoors.  It's times like this when you don't mind having the can opener in your pocket all the time.

Used my Wenger's scissors to cut numbers for address plaque, can opener to open package of bolts, and the chain was utilized as a plumb-bob to level the mail box :D

In that case, you get +3 for the plumb Bob and -1 for the lack of a hook.  :D

Getting the batteries out of my camping lantern to figure out why it’s not working during the power outage I’m in. These old generics have obviously had it so just ordered some eneloops, had to break out the head torch for now

This is my favorite thread on the whole site, the amazing versatility of SAKs is really something.  Also seeing all the different SAKs in action is so Cool!  Anyway used my bottle opener on my Super Tinker to pry up a sprinkler head in the yard to inspect it.  Try that with a Benchmade  :D

Used the can opener of the Cadet to tighten a screw on the porch. Unfortunately I slipped, and slightly twisted the tip
Of course this made me reconsider if the Cadet is the right SAK to carry at home. Switched to the Tinker for further testing.

Even though I am not a big fan of the backside screwdriver, it still is better in applying torque to a screw and reduce the chance of slipping. Will see if it becomes the new standard in my pockets

I neglected to post this last night. My canine evening walking companion thought she needed a closer look at my neighbor’s cattle. Unfortunately, she got her tail fur tangled in the fence, which upset her greatly; fortunately, I always have a SAK in my pocket.

Also a reason for me to carry a SAK. My dogs have long curly hair and it gets stuck in fences, thorny bushes and so on. Most of the time it is no issue, but one or two times I had to help them out.
