Yesterday I packed a Spartan for the first time in many years. I was pleased with the weight and thickness.

I used it to open a can of tuna for lunch and cut up some baguette to eat my tuna with.

My new carrier Pioneer has been earning its keep. It's busted up a box or two, and opened three beer bottles. The beer in question was purchased at ALDI, and was shockingly good!

Used Pioneer to pry open catches on a floodlight 16m up on a lifter when I forgot my screwdriver, and to cut the new lamp out of its packaging

Ambassador helped me to free a new lanyard.
I found this "Mandalorian" at a good price.
The next step is: Find a "Baby Yoda" bead for my son! :-)

Took the little man out in the woods this afternoon for forage for fire wood for our fire pit. Yesterday we built a travois to help haul everything back. He used his Evolution S17 to help me cut the bank line I used for the lashings. Today he used the saw on his Evo to cut some branches down so he could practice using the main blade to make tent pegs. He got dirty and tired and it was well worth it to keep him away from the electronic screens.

I think that it would be appropriate for any day ending in Y.

No photos. You'll thank me!

My left index finger took several large and small splinters this week as I was climbing all over trucks keeping track of the oil and gas pipes that our shop was shipping to a facility in West Texas.

I used my my Explorer's magnifying glass for a better view while I used my Tinker's small blade and my SwissChamp's tweezers (which I happened to have modified with angled tips) to perform emergency surgery to remove the 1/4" long splinter. Due to the splinter's gray color, I was initially worried that it was a rusty steel splinter, and that I therefore needed a tetanus shot, until I tested it against a magnet with no results.

I was so focused on removing the large splinter that I didn't even notice the much smaller one until the next day. This time, I used the angled tweezers and straight pin to remove it.

This week illustrated perfectly why I carry cellidor SAKs rather than alox.
Current SAKs: Explorer, SwissChamp, Handyman (modded), Climber, Super Tinker, Tinker, Woodsman (modded), Electrician, Pioneer, SwissTool, Executive, Ambassador, Champion Plus
Current Leatherman tools: PST, Original Wave, Wave, Wave+, Blast, Bond, Curl, Style PS, Micra

Thank you! That finger is fine now, but now my right thumb is bandaged after I closed my Leatherman Curl's blade on it.   This week has not been kind to my fingers!

How did you manage to have that little guy standing still next to the SAK? I thought they'd be scared of being around people.

I got tired of dropping my safety glasses at work, so I improvised a retaining cord out of my SwissChamp’s paracord lanyard. I used the awl to enlarge the holes in the glasses stems for the paracord to fit through.

Very creative! And a great on-the-spot use of a SAK.

well I didnt exactly USE it today BUT when I was on my lunch break I simply felt like looking at my Pioneer because I love it. I was sitting there thinking about the fact that my wife had given my my pioneer 18 years ago  ( it was our anniversary recently so our marriage was in my mind) So thats what I did .. just kinda checked it out for a bit, then put it away.  :dunno: It is like an old friend to me now. It is nice and slim so it is the SAK I keep with me when I go into the office each day.
