Spent a little bit of money today and picked up some new winter mittens that had been heavily discounted.

Toasty warm and (hopefully) waterproof. :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Got some beer, money, a really awesome jacket, and sunglasses.

I did get one tool/edc related gift, and that was the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Very great system! Already have used it on ~five blades, and can't wait to use it some more.

Got some sweets and gift cards from some of my students as well, which was really nice.

The coolest thing though, was I gave my dad an Alox Cadet. Wasn't sure how he'd react. He used to carry a Vic Classic on his keychain forever until it got taken at the airport.

He was really stoked on it! I hope he starts carrying it daily, but I won't be bummed if he just uses it sometimes.

All I got that was vaguely tool related was a 10" diamond steel for keeping my kitchen (and other large) knives in check. Aside from that I got nice beers, foods, toiletries, DVDs & Books. I also just bought myself a Christmas present too. A reclining 3 seat sofa and armchair, footstool, and a standard armchair  :D I got a cracking deal of some display models. Now I've just got to figure out how to get them home from the showroom, as they don't start delivering again till 7th January, and then don't deliver at weekends

Transport sorted ... but after running round with a tape, I've discovered it won't all fit and I've now got to reshuffle most of the house around by 9am tomorrow  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

We'll get it sorted one way or another  ;)

Great tools those bandsaws, just be very careful you don't inadvertantly try out it's flesh and bone cutting capabilities  :o

Funnily enough, the bandsaw was originally invented as a butcher's tool for cutting through flesh and bone. Some other tradie must have seen one and thought "That could cut wood/metal too."

Clothes are good. My job can be cold, wet, dirty and greasy at times and I am lucky if a pair of jeans lasts six months.

I did very well  :-[.

From the misses a SOG PowerDuo, H51Fw Zebra headlight & a Lighthouse calendar featuring the photographer Jean Guichard's work, his photo of the lighthouse being swamped by a wave with the keeper at the base is easily my favourite photo of all time  8) 8)

From my folks a Gerber Fit + a Fiskars/Gerber ShopBoss shears

My mother-in-law gave me a Freestyle CX & a SOG Paratool combo set with a Kangaroo/skippy sheath

The Jensen 4-1 is a very classy bit of kit , reminds me of my dad's old/quality screw drivers , nice.

Very spoilt Mat  :D 8)
