Vic 84 mm watch case opener

Hello,
i did buy a 84mm Alox Watch case opener/blade from  Victorinox.
It´s the slim, smooth Alox version.
Does anybody know if either the watch opener tool is interchangeable with the small blade on 84/91 cellidor knifes or if maybe the tool might fit an 85 mm Wenger slim alox knife?

The Vic one has a destroyed blade, the Wenger has a broken off small blade and I´d liketo have the watch case opener in a tool with useable implements.

The SwissChamp XAVT includes the watch case opener, so it's at least possible.

I just reread the OP question. You want a one layered smooth ALOX SAK with just a blade and a watch case opener, right? Like the Watchmaker 85? I have one of those and the backspring is the same thickness as the standard 85mm. The watch case opener is the same thickness as the Wenger nail file but the pivot hole is a lot further down on the nail file and the back part that engages the baskspring is a lot longer on the nail file. You might make it work but it'll require some modifications I think.


BTW, the XAVT one is too large.

He did, still one of the greatest practical mods; he put it on a Cybertool type knife for a super fantastic electronic gadget work knife.  I can't remember the exact WC blade he used, there are so many different ones.

I don´t necessarily want a one layered knife, The Watch opener just came in the form of one, a Vic watchopeneer with a destroyed blade. In the same envelope i received an 85 mm Wenger one layer smooth Alox which has an ok blade but a broken small blade.

I guess the Watch opener won´t fit into the Wenger instead of the small blade.

I wouldn´t mind implementing the watch opener in a 84 Cellidor or a Cybertool but from what i read the pivot points are too different.

I get .9 mm for the watch opener and 1.44 for the small 84mm blade. It would require some shimming first. I don't know if the the springs are compatible.

If the broken small blade is long enough you could convert it to a watchcase opener, copying the Vic you have.  Spinning stone, file, flat stone to finish.  May end up softer than the original blade due to heating during grinding, but usable I expect.

The short blade on the Wenger broke right after tha Tang.
Maybe I´ll find for some pics today.
