I keep seeing them but I don't really know what Hoffritz adds to the basic Victorinox knife. Is it just the tang stamp and scales?
I bought it for historical reasons, it's just a Vic knife manufactured for them, and some of them have the Hoffritz stamp on the blade, and others do not.
The scales look more curvaceous, and seem to have a higher state of polish than Victorinox/Wenger, or is that a camera "thing"?
This is mostly just a lighting thing, there have been some sublte, and not so subtle, changes to the scales over the years, but this set is pretty similair to the current ones. Vic scales have a nice shine when new, and in the past were quite polished, maybe a little more than today.
