New SAKhead from Kentucky
on:

Hello everyone, I'm a collector of SAKs and numerous other things. I started collecting SAKs back in 2008, though I've carried one since I was 12 (first was a Vic Mechanic). I received the Mechanic when I was 10 years old and carried it until I lost it at a customer's home (I think) in 2008 (all told, I had that knife for 18 years); I was fit to be tied when I went back and couldn't find it again.
I went two days without a SAK and the DTs hit hard. I went out and bought a Wenger Tradesman and the collecting bug bit me. I took a break from knives to collect vintage razors, but I'm pretty much back to SAKs now. Most of my "adoptees" have come by way of either FelineVet or various flea market/yard sale finds. My collection doesn't have a theme so much as "whatever catches my eye" that day.
My EDC SAK is a CyberTool 34 since 2009, replacing the Tradesman, though I'm considering putting the CyberTool in my tool bag and carrying a Pioneer or Soldier.

I never quite got on with the plier based tools, though I have used quite a few that were nicely made tools.
Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone
