Little flint rods

Anyone have or know where I can get tiny flint rods? I am looking for some tiny ones that I can put into swiss army knife scales instead of a toothpick. Also what do you think would be the best way to get it not to fall out of the scales?

I guess you are looking for Ferro rods or Ferrocerium
I just found some slim rods here but I have never used this site so I don’t know their quality (and they might be too fat  :think: )

Sorry to say that I don't know where they came from, but Neil once gave me a tiny one that actually slid up into the centre of the corkscrew helix. 8)  Sadly it was so thin that I accidentally broke it. :-[

Found some on little 5 in 1 compass whistles at the Target dollar section with them

This was the exact site I was going to mention. Their prices look good, and they make their ferro rods in a wide variety of sized.

These Guys seem to have some very small rods Gareth  :salute:

I have never dealt with them so I don't know their quality or service

If you have a SAK with a corkscrew you could put a firesteel inside of that, maybe wrap it first so it doesnt bounce around.
