I'm sure some of you must have been carrying a classic or rambler or something for decades now. So, how long do the 58mm scissors hold up to reasonable use?

I know they're under warranty, but I'm saying just as they are.

My scissors are 9 years old & should last forever. If you start cutting tough stuff such as plastic etc.. they will go downhill. They can be sharpened but, its a real pain...!

If the leafspring breaks, you can get spares. If you sprain the pivot pin by cutting stuff that's too thick, you've blobbed it unless you can peen out the slack. Otherwise, they'll just keep on going  :)

Not broken any myself yet!

I have damaged blades when trying to cut things that were too tough for them, but mostly they seem to hold up for years.

The scissors on my sapphire Classic have held up spectacularly over the last eight years of regular use. The spring lost its spring a few months ago, and I replaced it last week. Good as new.
