Do You Shoe Goo?

What do you do with your Shoe Goo?

Of the more obvious use was to repair some sneakers this winter, when the toes started coming apart.

Later had some denim work pants start developing them wear holes. Done had torn out two pants cause of them stupid wear holes... double stitched knees Dickies and the weak spots was near the crotch area...

The third pair I noticed a small wear hole forming, Rubbed some Shoe Goo on the front, let it dry. Then did the same on the inside. Not had an issue with ripping or widening yet - and washed them several times and it is still holding!

This morning was looking at the toothpick on my Climber.

Scored the inside slick area near the outside end area, and with a small screwdriver had added a thin layer over the top. That should fix the wandering Houdini toothpick.

Next added a thin layer of Shoo Goo on the thread of the Vic Corkscrew Mini-Driver. It likes to fly off the corkscrew like a slippery banana. Have tried screwing it all the way in and it still did it, yet it fit snugly in my Leatherman Juice XE6's corkscrew. Had magnetized the the driver, it still liked to unscrew itself when opened.
Oiled the corkscrew. Applied the goo to the corkscrew driver threads, then threaded it in. Wiped off the excess. It's drying now, but should be good to by morning.

The toothpick slides in more firm now at the last end.

Also the corkscrew mini-driver is much more firmer and does not slip off. Wiped off the oil on the corkscrew, threaded in the mini-driver & it holds.

Just got a tube of it myself. Am actually going to use it on shoes/boots though! Good to know it can be used for more stuff like that. It's certainly a lot cheaper and easier to use than JB Weld!

Shoe Goo works great on them small wear holes that denim jeans develop. On newly developed holes rub a dab in on both sides. Let dry. Has saved me on pants.

Bit ticked off at Dickies jeans. Loose fit, they developed a small hole between the zipper and front pocket. Kneel down or bend over, riiiiip! Did not have any Shoe Goo then.
What good does it do to have double walled knees if the pants become defective after developing a flew/wear holes? I so should send those two pants back and complain. Under a year and they rip out, where my Carhartt jeans have lasted many years.

Of all the pants I've owned most my life, only Dickes have been the ones with the most fail on them. Even Levi's last years with holes!

Quit buying Dickies is best suggestion I've got for ya. I used to buy Dickies but switched to Carhartt or the Duluth pants.

Dickies have never been great for me, but now I (and many of my crew members) have been buying Carhartt/Duluth more and more. Both manufacturers make comfortable pants that give you a good range of motion. Carhartts are priced well, Duluths are pricey but are worth every dollar and then some. Took me well into the second year to even start to wear out the 5 pairs of summerweight poplin Carhartts (and I wash em with each wear). The 4 pairs of winterweight Duluth Workpants I bought are tougher than you could ever imagine (but damn comfortable) and after one very harsh new england winter still look brand new. Buy one pair of each...I'd bet you buy more like all my guys and I have.

Aye. Was going to send these back to Dickies, but figured was just not worth the effort. Carhartt are about $45+ a pair here. Even Cabela's casual chinos last longer than Dickies jeans. One of the Dickes I won from D&B Supply's blog.

Keep looking though...my Carhartts were $25 on sale at Bob's Clothing in Milford CT.

Duluths were around $59, but I'll be buying em again and again for that roomy crotch I need so badly due to God blessing me (check em out at Duluth Trading Co).

I wore Dickies for years and I agree with you: they ain't making em like they used to.

Your nearly pornographic crotch shots you posted, thanks for those btw...lol, illustrate where my old workpants (Dickies, Levis, Wranglers, etc.) would blow out every once in a while...not to mention the splitting knees. My Carhartts and Duluths haven't disappointed me yet.

Used the product just a couple of days ago to make some repairs to a pair of my daughter's shoes. It totally breathed some new life into them.

They're still a little small for her, but they'll be good thrasher shoes for her to wear to her preschool, the park, etc.

Shoo glue is brilliant. It will stick the unstickable!

The last thing I used it for was to stick the break light back onto the rear window of my car. Few products have what it takes to adhere to glass!
