Okay...so I got the style ps for an option when I have to travel via aircraft. I went through security at the airport today, kind of holding my breath, hoping some TSA noob wouldn't decide to confiscate it and... it went through with only mind examination by the TSA agent.

On a strange sidenote, the lady in front of me had her bag yanked for carrying what looked to me like a spyderco knockoff.

Anyway, the scissors were needed already, so the style ps gets a tentative thumps up as a keychain size bladeless option.

I'm glad to hear it made it through.  I'm scared to take any kind of tool in my carry one anymore.

I've never went through security with a TSA friendly MT but I have with a few non-friendlies. Funny how the examiner went through my bag and I was worried that he was looking for my Micra one time. He was more curious about the spare bicycle cleats I had in the bag. I did go through with a PST a few years back with no problems as well.

I recently traveled and took my (Donated) Style PS through 4 airports with no trouble. It even got used on the plane without a second look.    :tu:

Glad you get it thru Lynn, but don't fly to (most of) Europe with that. We even have to take belts off at the security check.

Same here; belts, shoes, liquids in containers no larger than 3oz. inside 1 quart ziplock bag, no blades of any kind... ugg...

And on our return trip, I got a free boob grope from the TSA, and had my hands wiped for explosive residue. Yay. :(

As for the style ps, it seemed what was useful was the scissors. I used the pliers once, but didn't really NEED them. Never needed the tweezers, but had several times I could have used a toothpick. Bottle opener went unused. The carabiner was useful when we went through security and on occasion when I hooked it to a flashlight.

Mine went to Hawaii and back with no trouble and I even used it to fix a tray table for a flight attendant.

I think I'm going to get a Style PS from the website that engraves on them and have "TSA Compliant" engraved on my Style PS.  I need some retribution after having to watch the TSA take a few Micra's away from me when I had forgotten they were in my backpack.

Did you open up the tools before going through to go quicker? Or did the TSA agents do it themselves?

When I went on vacation in December, I didn't open it the first time (on the way there) but opened it up on the way back, after seeing that a person unfamiliar with a tool will poke and fumble at it for a while. I was trying to speed everything along for everyone. I recommend this to anyone going through a security point.
