It's a warm day today in Northern CA and although my gymn trunks have pockets, they are comfortable for storing SAKs. :)

Although I posted a black Explorer photo last night, I ended up using a green Minichamp II this morning and have 4 SAKs within easy reach at the moment. A silver Cadet is always next to the TV remote. I always keep an Explorer near the Cadet and on an end table I have an emerald Swiss Champ and a Sapphire Explorer. I am availing myself of some ice therapy at the moment so photo to follow. :)

Had a chance to take a photo of the Sapphire Explorer & Emerald Swiss Champ...

My new Swiss Champ is taking the maiden voyage today!
This will be the first time out of the box and in the pocket since I got it a couple days ago.
Yesterday, I was working in a dirty fireplace around abrasive brick surfaces and just couldn't stomach the thought of trashing my new SC on Day 1, so I used my Craftsman.

The addition of the SC to my arsenal slides everything down a slot. I was EDC'ing my Craftsman on my days off and packing a Deluxe Tinker in my work bag. Now the DT is in the closet. The Craftsman will be my work bag SAK and the SC will be my EDC "at home" knife.
At work, I wear scrubs and since I work in a penitentiary, I can take any cutting or fire starting tools inside; thus, the bag that stays in the car. By far, the EDC SAK sees much more action than the work bag SAK. In fact, the work SAK is simply a good prep knife and probably could be replaced by almost any other knife.

That Mors Kochanski is making me feel really dumb. Then again, I don´t think he´s a SAK collector.

LOL! Nope. I don't think he is. He carries a Mora neck knife...for knives, I think that's about it. He carries a fire steel (which he calls a "metal match"). For shelter, he carries a Mylar space blanket and a piece of visqueen. Other kit: a 1.8oz metal kettle and several yards of 550 parachute cord.

I don't have his skill set. In my life, I've been able to handle most unexpected things with a MT.

Impressive! It seems that there are more and more people doing their own mods. I admire that capability.

I think it i snowballing. The amount of guides, helpfulness of other people, access to materials and the fact that more and more "average Joe" do it is really having an effect..

Thank you!  I just placed an Amazon order for my 25th Explorer, a red BSA model.  The Emerald Swiss Champ in the photo is one of 12 SCs.  At some point, I will get some photos of some colorful combinations.  I think the scale differences are one of the reasons I can't resist one more purchase. :)
