The old rostfrei Tinker (at least that’s what I think this 91 is called) found its way into my pocket, when I grabbed it to use its small blade to loosen and pry a corroded battery out of an old Tiffany quartz desk clock I picked up recently and decided to see if I could get it running again. Got the battery out and cleaned up the little Tiffany quartz movement’s terminals with a tooth brush and a solution of baking soda and water. Alas, I cannot yet determine if the clock will run, because it is such a tiny 1.5v battery (about 2/3 the length of a standard AAA) that I did not have one. If anyone knows if this size of battery is available in USA, let me know. Thanks in advance.

After the clock issue half resolved, I wiped down the Tinker and started to put it back on top of my chest of drawers, but then I liked it too much and I just put it in my left pocket, even though the Cybertool L was already in my right pocket, as usual. I carried the T for no particular reason, except that it is so slender for a 91 and I just have a crush on it.

Picture shows the two old Suisse-ers talking about growing up in the shadows of the Alps.  The Tinkers said, “In my younger days, I could cut off slices of Raclette cheese as fast as my owner could put them in the wedge shaped pans and slide those pans onto the raclette grill to melt. The Tiffany Clocks listened and said, “And I could time you to the split second back before my battery corroded. I sure hope this new owner gives a damn about me. The last owner just let me corrode.”

And so on...

84mm home made mod.  I don't, in truth, give this the pocket time it deserves.  Does just about everything I want a SAK to do.

I’ve been carrying this Outdoorsman that I swapped the Marlboro scale on so now it has DOUBLE Shields and Crosses- which I’m really growing quite fond of.

Several days later the N cell battery has just been replaced and given a tap for good luck by the Tinker used to open the battery package.

The old Tiffany quartz clock now keeps accurate time.

An endless stream of solvable problems; that is one definition of a wonderful life.

SwissTool Spirit XC as always joined by an oldie but goodie Wenger Standard Issue 1987. I had to fab up a bail for it from an old keyring and then added a paracord chain.
