Handyman today

Hold on to it. One of these days, it'll be replaced by the Handyperson.

Today my Alox Minichamp rode in the pocket.  Didn't really use it for anything, but I always have one there.

Today I have been rolling with my Explorer and Executive today. This is generally what I carry most weekdays.

The Old Cross Challenge last October re-kindled my love for my OC Pioneers. This one was in my pocket today, as it has been for most of 2021 thus far.

Happy Camper here  :)

Unlikely to use the saw but enjoying the increased girth over the Spartan that makes it better in my hand.

I completely agree. My hands are big enough that a 2-layer knife feels awkward. 3-4 is perfect, and the SwissChamp is easy enough to use for most things.

Well, as it turns out I picked the wrong tool. I had to replace the spout in the bath tub today and needed a file to smooth out the copper pipe. A file! Who would have thought.
As it turns out my storage box with the MT's hadn't been wrapped yet, so i switched out the FX for the Spirit XC.

In my defense, the whole house is covered in wrapping material and boxes, so i had no idea the MT's hadn't been packed yet. Which, as it turns out, was a good thing  :tu:

Much as I love the SC for its toolset, I find that as the blades and openers are outside layers, they’re awkward to use, and they’re the tools I use the most. I also find it a bit thick for handling comfort. I’d rather have a SC without the blade, opener, and saw layers and carry a separate Camper. Unfortunately, since I have neither the skill nor confidence to do it myself, it’d have to be an expensive commission (unless I find someone local to do it).

Enjoying my 40+ year old Climber, but soon to replace with a more modern version shortly (it’s in the mail...been obsessively watching the USPS tracking updates.. :mail:)

It still looks and works like new.  I didn’t even know it was that old until I found SAKwiki.

Camper again today. Dammit, I prefer its thickness over the Spartan so much that I may as well stick with it.

Why not carry the Climber instead? Well, that extra 1mm of thickness and ten extra grams makes a mysterious yet palpable difference in my pocket and hand. The Camper is perfect!

That wood saw works on plastic, too, btw. I used it to cut the tip off a funnel to make the opening bigger.

Yep. I've used it to cut plastic pipes, water barrels, and a broken mudflap. When my boss got stuck in a plastic pallet after his foot went through it, the wood saw set him free. If you have it on you, the metal file tidies up the saw cut edges of hard plastics.

Yes, or if you don't have the metal file on your knife, the reamer punch sometimes works for that too. It certainly did with the funnel, because it was a round opening.
