After the Dean51 trad knife challenge I've not had a larger SAK in my pocket for a month.  Prompted by a couple of recent 84mm threads I dug out an old mod of mine.

(Image removed from quote.)

Pretty things like that are not old, they're vintage.

The BuSchroder will be aged 4 come September.

It´s been with me almost every day of those four years, that´s almost 1,500 days.
It´s a bit creaky at the joints but otherwise still going strong.

One of my most recent and favourite bits of Alox (not least because it was a gift from a forum member).  A 1975 Wenger Soldat.  Love the brushed finish on the blades and the old scraper/stripper edge on the inside of the cap lifter.

I've been keeping one in my motorcycle riding pants or my wallet... I don't even notice it's there but it can address so many things on the go.

I'm probably going to get 3-4 more in the new colours and keep them in various places.

Picked up a Pioneer at the flea market yesterday. This is my first full size alox unit. Slid it in the pocket this morning for a test drive.

Cheers.  I've got a couple of other 111mm but they've all got the liner lock.  As a southpaw I always fancied trying the slide lock.  I also always like the saw+scissors tool set for the supersized Huntsman vibe.

I've only carried it a couple of times,, but I do like it. The knife has a sturdy, quality feel to it. I like the fact that it is basically the same knife that was issued to the Swiss Armed Forces. It gives credibility to the model. While I like the black, I'm also dreading to see wear show up on it's finish. If it had been a silver one, I would be more likely to carry it often.

That’s cool :like:

Thank you
