Red SwissChamp today plus the contents of the saddlebag on my racing bike. That's a basic Topeak tool if you're asking. I don't carry the SC when riding.

Carrying the SC makes a pleasant change after the SwissTool Challenge.

This ones for you Barry R

I’m carrying a Spirit MX clip and a Midnight Minichamp. I almost always have a Minichamp of some sort.

these three. ok ... the Mini Champ is on a Nite Ize "S" hook, behind my neck knife, and the Hercules is in a belt pouch, not my pocket.

84mm Craftsman and Gardener

The EVO18/Handyman really doesn't do the same jobs as well, and the ergonomics are weird. Yes, this is a model discontinued decades before I was born, and it's collectible, but it gets the job done without weighing me down.  The liners sort of scare me, but I think when Victorinox rebuilt this model 5 years ago, they put in new liners when they replaced the main blade, scissors, scales, and scale tools.

The Gardener/Florist is a simple, strong folder that just cuts stuff well. Chisel grind is easy to sharpen.

I've been in full Champ mode for the last month or so. The SwissChamp has been in my pocket during the daytime, showing off those new red linen micarta covers. The SwissChamp is tremendously handy for every little thing.

I did change out the fob last week, moving to a length of 1.5mm Dyneema cord that I'd been using for creating tarp guylines. The fob is connected via a double fishermen's knot, looped through the keyring. But I think I might actually be able to ditch to split ring altogether, and just thread the line directly through the little hole. Super strong stuff, this Dyneema, and nice and bright. I'm also testing out a new model of keychain light, called the X-Light Micro. It's pretty much LRI's evolution of the original Photon Microlight.

The MiniChamp has been my choice for the evening hours. I love, love, love this little knife. It has a simply spectacular toolset. If I were more honest with myself, I could probably get by most days with just a MiniChamp.

For me, it's the Mountaineer. I owe that knife a lot, actually. I bought it as the smallest (current) model to have the metal saw, to see if it was small and light enough for pocket carry in the smart trousers that I need to wear for work these days. It probably isn't, but that started me down the avenue of thinking about modding one..... which brought me here!  :-D

Today I carried the SwissTool for work, with the Huntsman on the side for a badge request. :tu:

Huntsman is in my pocket today.

I really like the Huntsman. It's as close to a perfect tool set I'm likely to get on a SAK outside of a custom/modded one. That said, I'm still not convinced a 4-layer SAK is destined to be my loose pocket EDC choice. The Huntsman isn't that heavy but there is still some bulk there. A Camper + Rambler combo (basically the same tools) is definitely an easier carry.

But the Huntsman would definitely be my first choice for a hike or backpacking trip stowed in my pack, no question about it.

Coming in from the ‘General Victorinox Conversation’ is my SwissTool RS for today.

Yeah, it’s heavy.  It’s got a good leather sheath so I don’t think I’ll spend for a pocket clip for it.

As a follow-up to my problem of stubby tools becoming nail breakers for being unable to open them, I need to use the implements to properly loosen them up.

Your posts convinced me to get a set of micarta scales for my Huntsman, now you might be convincing me to pick up an Alox Minichamp as well.

Not technically pocket time as I don’t have any pockets in these gym shorts, but the SD gets to hang off the waist band with my PST.  New little scissors to compliment the old multitool.

Today's carry was a Vic Farmer X, which has well consolidated its place in me heart, and a Fiddleback Practical Hunter.

The Vic was used to clip jute twine for use in tying up some tomatoes, opened a package of potato chips (crisps), and improve the lid of a disposable coffee cup. The hunter...stayed in the sheath.  :dunno:

I’m keeping it simple today with a Spartan + Rambler combo. Haven’t needed it so far but I’m just having a quiet day at home today.
