New to me Spirit with butter knife blade. Nicely rounded out with Waiter and Midnite Minichamp.

Sometime a Waiter is all I really need. Very simple and handy.

The MC, Waiter, and Spirit is a great set.

Today tried pocketing the Explorer with the butter blade Spirit. I find I use the mag lens and small blade enough to miss it when carrying the waiter.

Carried a microstream and rite in the rain pokka pen. I’m not sure what’s better for pocket space, but I did miss several of the MC blades and that damn scoopula is quite useful for a lot of tasks.

A bit of overlap in the tools split about half and half with redundant and unique implements.

I’m more likely to pull out the Explorer than Spirit for cap lifter, but prefer the locking screwdriver. The awl is 50/50 and I don’t think I’ve used the eyelet on the Explorer for any sewing related tasks.

How do I choose scissors? The Spirit scissors are just awful, except they cut zip ties and those plastic bindings on packaging wonderfully. The Explorer scissors get more use. Everything else has its dedicated use on the separate tool.

Awful scissors on a Victorinox product? I would have never guessed that.

They cut well but the blades only open as far as you see pictured. Not much clearance to make a cut which gets frustrating. Same style on all Spirit models.

The Spirt scissors are your heavy duty cutters.  Your SAK scissors are fine detail scissors.

The Spirit cap lifter is your pry tool, scraper, larger driver.  Your SAK cap lifter is a cap lifter and light duty scraper.  Because the Spirit locks it can handle tougher work.  I've had my SAK cap lifter fold with moderate pressure.  As a cap lifter its great.

Great tools.

Great points. This probably matches my choices for uses.

Not in my pocket but in my Skinth Shield Large.

Cybertool 41 with some sweet clear red scales.

Wife is out of town for work but a man still has to eat.

Again, beautiful reds! Now I have to check out the Skineth. Both my SCs are 1980s so I don't want to mess with the scales.

Guess you just have to buy a new SC. Only reasonable solution.

You use the Mag Lens a good bit? My eyesight is bad in one eye and I love my Explorer but don’t use the Mag Lens much. More of a I forget I have it till later kinda thing.

I love the magnifier and use it frequently, especially when reading small print on labels or such.  Sometimes I will have a fresnel lens in my bag or wallet but still reach for the Yeoman first if I am carrying it.

Sitting here in Grantland (Canada) waiting to dump Soybeans. While I waited in line SAKWiki kept me company.

Turns out I don’t have the Cybertool 41 but the smaller version with no saw or file. All these years living a lie.

Have my butter blade Spirit in the Skinth.

I imagine my OC Pioneer saying “I am just here for my blade.”

But this seems like an unusual model to me - cybertool with in line philips??? Looks like a Cybertool lite - with the mag layer but without the led light (so not Lite for sure). It is not 41, nor 34. Is it a mod?
