Sorry to resurrect this thread but I have stumbled across it googling two knives I've recently come into.

*91mm SAK for scaling

Anyone have any info on these?
Most importantly, are they cheap junk or do people collect these as well?

On the off chance you really don't know, the red knife in your picture is indeed a Victorinox knife.  Looks older based on the shield but I'm not an expert that can give you more exact dates.

As for the other, I have no idea.  Looks like an imitation of an old Cadet.

Good luck with your information search.

The red one isnt a vic its a Pradel a French maker
The haltere stamp does have a dumbell esque stamp (2 circles with a lime connecting them)

Wasnt sure if armee suisse contracted Pradel to make knives or not its very nice never been used condition the seller got it from a shop never sold but the shop closed i was told it was just on a shelf from the 1950s

Its kind of wild what you were able to get away as far as making something look like another product back in those days

After doing some web searches, it's obvious French makes figuring out that knife easier. I don't know Frebch, but some knives on ebay turned up with the same stamp. Also, I learned "haltère" seems to mean "dumbbell" in French.

In other words:  :nothingtoadd:
