Yup i've pocket carried one every so often and didn't have much trouble. The only tool i don't find easy to pocket carry is the MP800 as the thickness is a bit annoying, don't mind the weight though.

You can pocket carry a ST, but I'd prefere to have it suspended from a belt hanger, rather than have it ratling around loose in your pockets looking for all the world like your happy to see everyone :D

Oh the potential for jokes is vast :D It is much easier having a tool on your belt.

I tried carrying the Swisstool, just couldn't get used to it (size&weight), now the Spirit-I don't even know it's there!
understand I carry a p.s.k, flashlight and champion plus in a pouch, and my keychain with stuff on it too!

Sheath carry is the number one reason why I traded off my Swisstool.  It seems much larger on the belt than the Spirit, and the cordura sheath wouldn't stay put--it would slide forward and back on me.  I work in an office, and nobody has ever commented about the Spirit on my belt.  I think they assume it's a cell phone, as Dawg mentioned.

I realised the other day that you can fit the Swisstool in the Spirit shealth, makes it a lot more compact when space is an issue and doesnt stretch out the sheath at all, just means it velcros up slightly higher and is slightly stiffer to get out (could be awkward in conjunction with pocket carrying  ;)).  Of course when space is an issue i just carry the spirit but its a nice option to have.

I've just finished my weeks work so havent had any chance to properly put them to the test which is why i've not really said another other than my initial thoughts.  I've been EDC'ing the Spirit in place of my SAK, just because i can, but so far the toughest thing it's had to do with is slicing open some boxes (which the sharp blades did done very very well, the serated... not so useful) oh and i also used the philips on my ST a few times to open my computer case (chose it over the spirit as it was closer at the time).  Other than that opportunities to use them have been sparse - the problem with commuting 4 hours a day to work in london at night since i got them!

I've got a week off now though (shift work) and am going camping wednesday for 3 days which is when both will be put to the test i imagine. I'll be carrying the spirit on my belt, the ST-X in my pack, my SAK in my pocket and my swisscard in my wallet, so i'll let you know how my collection of Victorinox tools handle  :climber:

The main difference so far given my limited use of them is the size, pictures really dont do justice to how much smaller the spirit is, in fact even looking at them doesn't; it's only when you have them in your hand, pocket or on a belt you really do notice a huge difference.

I noticed that as well.  I didn't really expect to notice that much of a difference between the 2 from all the pictures I saw, but after holding micky d's one, it felt much more slender.
