It's a pretty good tool for undoing stubborn knots...I've heard it's good to play out fishing line, but I'm not sure how that'd be done.

"Corkscrew - Very handy for untying too-tight knots: Get the point in between the cords like a mini-marlinspike, pull to loosen, do again elsewhere in the knot, until the knot can be undone.
- Can be used to push leather lacing, heavy thread, or fishing line through a small hole, as in repairing the seam of a hiking boot.
- Will hold a sewing needle stored between the corkscrew and the adjacent divider. But it is easy to forget the needle is there and lose it when opening the corkscrew. A short needle wrapped in paper can be stored down the center of the coil.
- Hold or retrieve tiny loops of thread or line while sewing, stringing beads, making jewelry."

Holds a pen. Corkscrew feels better. Used a Smith's Pocket Pal round file to gently make a small groove for the pin to fit more straight.

But then too so does the package hook.

Also holds a mini-driver. Is an unconfirmed rumor that the pin can be removed and replaced with a Leatherman mini-driver for both standard & phillips heads.

Used Shoe Goo to make mine stick better, oiled the corkscrew prior.

Also the mini-driver has another use that just an ordinary small screwdriver. Magnetize it to make a suspended compass.

Also rumored to be a good knot untier and paracord grabber. Can also screw it into something and use the knife as a hangar. You might be able to thread paracord around it and use for a miniature grappling hook.

My most common use for it is untying the laces of my hiking boots.  I also use the mini-driver regularly as my reading glasses have a screw in them that loosens up a lot.  (Yes, that means I do actually have a screw loose! :D But, we knew that already, didn't we?  )
