Broke the Phillips on my PPP...
on: February 14, 2013, 05:32:19 PM
So with a bit of patience on a grinding wheel, a broken SOG Phillips can become a perfectly sized 3/16" slotted blade. I've been sorely missing a smaller size  slotted on my SOG, especially after I sheared off the one on the can opener. Luckily, SOG supplied me with the perfect material to make my own, I just had to accidentally break the phillips head off the end first!

The picture is of a Greenlee 3/16" Cabinet Tip driver next to my mod.

I can see that happening easily, there were a few times while I was using it on tighter screws I felt like it could break if I applied any more force so I stopped and got another tool. I wish the body of the phillips was a bit thicker.
