Just got home, sat down and started playing with it. being a nailbiter, SAKs always gave me trouble. I only really struggled with one tool (large blade). Could be due to size but I forgot how much I liked this thing. And way more tools than I remember. Best $70 worth of tools I spent on.

Before lockdown (and office wear), I used to cycle through 3-5 layer SAKs for my EDC. Now working from home, I find my SC the best option in my jeans. Such a versatile tool. (Although I do carry a small Knipex in my opposite pocket) 😁

I liked the LLbean front scale so I had to take the front from a Camper and pair with dark green plus back scale for a customized champ. I also have what I call my Slim Champ. All champs are winners in my book.

As soon as I posted about my “retired” Swisschamp a few days ago I got the idea that I needed another....so this arrived today.

This one appears to be a half-dozen or so years younger than its predecessor, with the second generation pliers (thicker, but without the crimper) and riveted scissors w/hook. It appears to have seen very little, if any, use. I will remedy this oversight.

Wow Frailer that is a nice one. I just let one go that looked just like that! A few scratches but mostly unused and same type of tools. You didn’t get it from watchutalkinbout did you? That would be a bit of a “small world“ moment.

Wow! You’re quite welcome and thank you. Glad it went to a good home. It’s cool how Victorinox blends in old and new tools into many variations but I guess if you have old tool stock it needs to be used. Just makes for some interesting mixes of old and new and the many varieties of champs and champions show this very well.

Thanks also for your honest description.

Many eBay sellers "gild the lily" a bit, so I always anticipate having to do a little maintenance work on any used SAK I purchase, and I am even prepared to toss one into the "spare parts" drawer on occasion.  It was very nice to receive one that was in pocket-ready condition. A tip of the hat to you, sir.

Thanks so much. It can be a gamble there like you said. I stated on a different thread that it’s best not go over your set comfy amount on auction sites as many here probably already know to be cautious. Just got my latest in today! A new Cadet. My first one with their new file design. Sorry, forgot I was on the champ thread so included is my yellow Champ as well.

Haha! Good to meet a fellow fan. That Crash remake was awesome. I still play the original ones on the PS1 but they're so hard!

...I always thought that Swiss Champs were too big, but after this one (my first) I realise how awesome they are  :D :D :D

I foolishly gave away my PS1 and all the crash games so was very pleased with the rerelease, mostly play crash team racing currently.
I don’t edc the champ but it’s a great tool for home or car, my SAK collection wouldn’t have felt anywhere near complete (not that that day will ever arrive!) without one
