Multitool.org Bought Out!
on: April 01, 2008, 02:34:19 PM
From Finance Industry Today:

Taylor Schrade announced that it has received a buy-out offer from GEMed AB, a company owned by GTECH (87.5 percent) and Medströms (12.5 percent).  The offer is for Multitool.org. The acceptance period begins April 7 and runs through April 27.

GTECH President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel said of the deal, “The acquisition of Multitool.org is an important element of GTECH's growth strategy. At the same time, we view ourselves as being the perfect partner for the multitool market, as we can offer a global market presence and a customer base consisting of a significant portion of Boss Media's targeted leads. ” and April Fools!!!

I was hoping they wouldn't announce the sale until after the contracts had been signed.  They are pretty well hammered out so far, I just need to get the final draft from the lawyer's office.  They wanted Micky and Ben as slave labor, and wanted to quibble over the cost of shipping them to Beijing.  I refused and told them I'd never let Ben get packed into a crate with semi-live chickens.

I suppose now that the news is out I can answer any questions you guys may have before they replace what we have here with cheap pot metal supports...

Two weeks ago the band we had at the bar was called 10$ Chicken and the singer had a rubber chicken on his microphone, and at certain moments during his songs he sang harmony with some other rubber chickens.

Was a pretty cool show!
