New Charity Auction for FVEAP
on: February 21, 2013, 07:57:04 PM
In case you missed seeing this one: http://www.edcsource.com/auction_details.php?auction_id=115257 This one is very unique:

I do not know how much more Swiss does it get? First a Wenger knife from Switzerland and then a presentation knife given to you by your Canton (state) for a job well done and the official end of your official commitment to your country. Police services do fall under the military control.

The Wenger Mountaineer is a member of the original 120mm Ranger Series

Nearly 3000 people released from their military obligations. This year's release from military obligations in the canton of Berne will place more than two places, instead of five previously. Approximately 3,000 troops will be called and released with effect from 31 December 2012.

As in previous years, they will be called in installments to come in civilian clothes for the surrender of their personal equipment, which will be held November 5, 2012 at Reconvilier for military domiciled in the Bernese Jura, and between 26 and 30 November 2012, in the multipurpose hall of the barracks of Berne, for all others. Soldiers wishing to retain their personal weapon must prove that they have completed at least twice the mandatory program and two years of shooting federal 300 meters past three years.

Thank you to Rick for again contributing a great knife for charity!

Hey folks, you don't want me to take this baby home for a song do you?  You could do me a big favor and save me from having to buy this knife since right now there are so many great SAKs out there and I still have not had a chance to recover from Christmas.

Just think if you buy it you can still post a picture of it on SAKWiki and Swiss Army Knights with your name on it!  On Swiss Atmy Knights you can even post it with your smiling face.

I am beginning to think I should have started this auction in November.    If I did, just think of what PERFECT Christmas presents you would be opening up on Christmas Day.   :o
As they say down under, "No worries Mate", I have ONE more item after this one and then you will have to wait until my desk top gets to "busy". You "MultiTool.orgians" have been fantastic in your support, makes me feel proud to hang  out with such a great group of supporters.

Any difference between those, they're unopened, NIB I guess?

This knife is from a run made for a swiss cheese producers association in Switzerland and the blade is laser etched with related markings.  It is also packaged with a booklet describing the Switzerland swiss cheese industry.  Otherwise, the knives are the same.  Bid it up!

Thanks, the blade is laser etched with four different language "Swiss Cheese Knife" and also with different scales.

condcup, why would you link to other sellers and knife sources in a thread for a charity auction??? I think that's just very wrong of you. :(

Thanks for your concerns, the difference as told was is the presentation box with a booklet, this knife is retail by Victorinox for $60 without the presentation box. The listing clearly says UNOPENED, NIB SEALED. :tu: I've seen Vic Swiss Cheese Knife biddings on eBay over for $100, just because of that prensentation box!!! Bid HIGH and OFTEN! This is Charity Auction for FELINEVET. :tu:

Not much time left on the "little white box". This will be the last auction of this series. I was hoping the past winners would post some pictures of their new found items and the "extras" that came with them. Sometimes the "extras" are harder to find than the auction items.  ;) Thanks again everyone.
