The Huntsman is still very much one of my "go-to" SAKs and is the third SAK I ever bought for myself.  After carrying my Explorer around for a while I've given in and put the Huntsman back into service.

I like your scale swap suggestion, and hoped somebody out there had a source.

I don't pay much tribute to the Huntsman, but truthfully I still use mine almost daily. It sits in the kitchen "junk drawer", but it's my go-to can opener and I use the scissors on it more than any other scissors. I put it on the Lansky system today and brought it back to paper slicing sharp

Love the Huntsman!  :like: :like: My dad has had his since he was in high school, and that was the only Swiss army knife I saw him carry for years. I was so impressed with this knife I had to buy one myself :D Here's my new one next to my new Spartan lite and Hunter XT

For me, the Huntsman is the Iconic Swiss Army Knife.

It may be that other SAK's are more popular (Classic) or more historic (Soldier), but the Huntsman with it's collection of classic SAK tools (scissors, saw, corkscrew) becomes the iconic SAK. And for good reason, what a great knife.....

This is a NIB Huntsman, dated around 1980-1990. At first glance the Corscrew has no groove, but if you take a very close look, you'll see a rudimentary groove. I guess this on past quality control unseen. Or maybe they didn't find it a problem.
