Justin Beiber or Ozzy Osbourne

You have to see one of these icons live; Will it be the mighty Ozzy Osbourne who, even in his drug raddled old age still delivers monolithic slabs of timeless metal, or justin beiber?

Or Coldplay

I've seen Ozzy.  I've never seen Beiber, nor do I intend to.

I might be to old to be able to understand Justin, but i did not follow those Boygroups/Singers/Ready made Pop stars when i was in my teens.

To each their own, but for me it was an easy vote.
I bought Appetite for Destruction age 12 on Vinyl, with the Original Cover artwork shortly after it´s release and am still enjoying loud, distorted guitars far more than synthetic beats.

Get fffffff-fondled !!  >:D Oz is King!

.... although I'd probably be far less likely to jump off something high after listening to that Bieber creature than Coldplay's incessant whinging and whining, so I would have to reluctantly grant the tedious little oik second place

Maybe we need a new poll to vote who was most likely to vote for justin beiber over Ozzy, without coming forward and admitting it.

My vote goes to the guy who without provocation attempted to defer blame to an innocent third party to cover his own feelings of guilt and inadequacy ....

Maybe with full knowledge of how she would vote? Then he would act all upset that she'd voted 'incorrectly'

Look,it's perfectly alright to explore these feelings Al,but the fact that you left the credit card slip from HMV listing your Beiber purchases(and really, the doll?????) in the package you sent me a few days back, really is a smoking gun!

That's not very nice. I heard Bieber has a Kirky doll he's quite fond of, and I thought the feeling was mutual. If you start experiencing strange shooting pains he's probably read your last post and started putting pins in you  :P

Hah!

I step forward bravely as the second person to vote for Beiber.

I would rather see him than Coldplay, and I have no interest in seeing Ozzy. I'm sorry. I thought Black Sabbath was okay, but it wasn't overly influential in my developmental years, and frankly, Ozzy is not a great vocalist. Seriously. Or, I should say, he WASN'T a great vocalist. Now... Good God... RETIRE! This is the same weird sadness I get when I see the Stones perform nowadays, or probably most heart-breaking for me, the Who. Remember when Roger Daltry could scream and make it sound awesome?

Beiber isn't my taste in the least. However, I, unlike so many other people in my age bracket, don't HATE him. I can't. There's nothing offensive enough to get me worked up. I was listening to Metallica's 'Last Caress/Green Hell' in High School. I could understand how someone could find THAT is offensive.

If I saw the concert, it would absolutely be from the perspective of an observer, as a sort of amateur anthropologist. I would be watching the people watching the concert.

I need to be clear about this. People are all on Beiber's case for having no talent. I have to be honest in saying that the Beatles didn't show any real talent early on either. They sounded like any other 60's British Invasion pop band. They were pretty well indistinguishable from the Monkeys at that point (Yes, I realize the Monkeys were made as a commercial product to take advantage of the fad).

Give Beiber a few years. Either he'll be gone and forgotten, or he'll find something of artistic merit.

I have to admit, I did a youtube search on Coldplay, and didn't recognize a single song they did by title. But like many other groups, I don't hate them enough to care. I asked my hubby, and he said I'd heard 'Viva La Vida'. It was 'Meh'. Not offensive, not exciting. I'm not gonna drop $1 for the MP3, that's for sure. If I was going for the music, I'd rather go see Coldplay than either of the other two. Yes, Ozzy is that bad these days (and has been for probably a decade).

I expect a lot of heat from this, but I don't care.

I'm just glad the "scissors" test will probably only appear on very "speSmurfpillsed" websites though and not here :ahhh :ahhh

No heat Lynn - it's just for fun. I agree with you about Ozzy - he should have retired years ago. He's never been a great vocalist, but he was an amazing front man if you see the difference. He made a connection with the fans as an ordinary person.

Unfortunately he's still a cash cow and he will be milked for everything he can give. Long after any integrety has disappeared.

What bugs me about the justin beibers of this world, is that there is so much amazing music being made by original artists (new and old) that I feel people are being cheated with manufactured 'pop stars' who are marketed to appeal to to a certain demographic (young girls) just to make money.

Anyhoo, like I said, it's just a bit of fun, and we all have our own equally valid views. At least you owned up voting, the other one hasn't come forward yet!
