100% chance for rain, it's 45 F now (and stars are out!) but rain is coming on the radar.
The tools are wet from a shower awhile ago, so their .... cooking!

I am really looking forward to see how this turns out Whichdawg.  Thanks for going to the effort to set this up for us. :)

You could never do a test like that in the UK.  You would put them out on the plates and within that hour someone would have stolen both them tools and probably the plates too.  :D
I'm back!!

It's a good real world test, I'm sure I'm not the only person to have been soaked through, and had to put a wet tool away for a couple off hours or so till you can get dry :)

well it's been 12 hours now, and they both look fine, from what I can see;

it's raining pretty steady now, I'm going to leave them out longer!

I didn't means to make it sound like I was knocking LM ::), just that from personnel experience I'd expect some light surface rust to develope soon.

I'm just being silly :P like when I'm done, I'll pick them up and they'll disintegrate in my hands, like the books in the movie "The Time Machine" (older version)

but I believe lower temps reduce corrosion :cheers:

so if your stuck in the wilderness and don't want your tools to rust,
make sure it's cold out! :twak:

Well, I had an Emerson CQC-7, that I took into the ocean(Ocean City NJ).  All I had was some light surface rust, and was easily wiped off :angel:
