91mm Alox
on: December 27, 2023, 10:53:55 PM
Does anyone else wish they made Alox with 91mm tools? For example I think the bottle cap opener\large flatblade on the 93mm is too large and the one on the 91mm is the perfect size.  Also the blade on the 91mm is uber slicey and the 93mm is no slouch but I like the 91mm just a little bit better.  A 91mm Pioneer X would be a great toolset and size IMO.

Idk…besides the alox scales, I think one of the things a lot of folks like about the 93 mm series is the beefier tools.

And, as noted above, you can always get aftermarket metal 91 mm scales if that’s what you really want.

Doesn't member glenfiddich  have one of the blue Dutch alox knives.  Sent it to Victorinox to replace a broken large blade.  I think it was 91mm?  Best wishes.  G

Take a look here:

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,34772.0.html

Syph started out putting 91mm tools into 93mm frames
Now he makes custom metal scales for 91mm - Links to his wesite/social media under his posts

Not sure what he is up to lately - I have not heard from him much recently

He is an amazing craftsman and innovator !!    :tu:
