I've never tried a stainless axe before, but it looks very light

Also looks like a mimed (spelling) or cast head, so I would doubt the strength of it as well

Smashie is right,  :tu:
if you look at the pictures of the head you can see ‘flash’ lines if that’s what they are called
Personally I would give these a miss

Looks the same as the other, but with paint on it.

I'm going to regret saying this, but follow sparkys example and buy second hand old rusty heads and restore them. More bang for the buck and ultimately more satisfying.

Eamo,

What are you going to be using it for Mate?
Still doing the drains or is this for something else?

well, for my drain project I got one of those mattocks hiraethus suggested - haven't had a chance to use it yet or post pics, been on the go the last while plus the weather hasn't been great.

But, yes, i would also use it for my drain project, but being honest it's more because the design caught my eye and it'd be useful around the place more then anything else - I'm always cutting or rooting at something, whether firepit or garden. But for me it's a lot of money to drop on something unless it's reasonable quality and from what you're saying it's not.

Bottom line, i've been reading too many threads here and i've been  :assimilate:
