Ok, here are a few quick pics...

First up, my Voyager;

And here is my Bushman.  I have included a pic with it next to my Grohmann to give an idea of size;

And here are a couple of pics of the handle.  As you can see, there is no seam;

I'm back!!

I like the new Bushman with the closed off handle.  Both of mine were the older style with the open handle.  I'm going to have to check out the new one!

Yay pics!! That Bushman is quite a knife, how comfortable is it to hold, is it a grippy surface or is it slick?

Well I haven't used it a lot yet, but it does feel comfortable to hold.

It does have an averagely smooth surface, but it does have a slight texture to it and because of the taper of the handle it feels secure to hold.

Not to hijack your thread Ben, but I just scored a CS SRK with Carbon V steel. They're now made with Aus-8 steel.  I  L-U-V this knife!  :salute: It's got to be the most comfortable fixed blade I've handled yet. The handle fits my hands and has a very grippy, tactile feel.

I've got big meathooks.......it's bigger than it looks! :)  It's a 6" blade and about a 5" handle.

Next pic sucks, sorry.   Oh, I tried the knot that Chris Reeve uses on the sheath but I can't get it right. You can't see it in the pic though.

I love their Master Hunter. If I didn't find this knife in the Carbon V it was a toss between the Master Hunter or a Ranger Knives RD6. I think the SRK will handle anything I give it though.  8)   Good luck with the knife Ben!

The SRK does look real nice and was actually the reason why I looked into Cold Steels fixed blades in the first place.  When I recently met up with Mike (Micky d) I got chance to have a go with his SRK that I believe was also Carbon V.  Really nice knife and I would have gone for one of those but I just got a good deal on the Master Hunter and I preferred the blade not having the black coating on it.

And with the Master Hunter you get a flat gring instead of a hollow grind and no black coating   ;)(personal preference)

You know Carlos, I like a nice flat grind, too, but I gotta say that I love the geometry of the SRK. I'm also taking a liking to the black blade...which I didn't think I would. I gotta get a bright lanyard to put on this puppy so I don't lose it in the woods. Maybe a Master Hunter will be down the road for me yet. It really is a nice, very functional knife. No BS there, just a proven simple design.

I'm really disappointed in this thread... 3 pages of responses and NOT ONE joke about being attacked by pork tenderloins in denim jackets...

Nice stuff guys! inexpensive goodness :D

I'm seriously thinking of getting this CS tool; http://www.knifeworks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1249

a good friend has it and has been using it for awhile now and says it's pretty tough.
says it works great and is a tool/weapon you can keep in the car with little worries.

I'd like it for the b.o.b. too.

I used to have a Cold Steel shovel and I really liked it.  It's actually quite functional once you know how to use it, compact, sturdy and cheap.  Plus, you can replace the haft if it breaks, or just use that as an excuse to buy a whole new one.

I need to get another one sometime soon.

To use it, you keep jamming the blade into the ground to break it up, then scoop out the loose dirt, in case anyone was wondering.

I just meant that you can't use it in the traditional way of pushing the blade into the ground and levering out the dirt.

It is pretty much mint bar a couple of very light scratches to the blade where the sheath has marked it.  :)

It's just a touch longer and it's flat rather than convex ground, but other than that, they probably feel about the same in the hand :)

As you know, I am very fond of the F1 and would own your own if I was a little quicker.  >:D  I just liked the fact this was a little longer and as Mike said, flat groud as well.
