Yes, it was something of a fluke that I got it, and I doubt I'll ever give it up.

Oh, and guess what arrived today?  :D

The handle is pretty scratched up so I'm going to have to put some time into buffing and polishing it, but I can appreciate a project.  :D

I'm not a fancy steel guy and frankly I don't really see much difference from one steel to the next.  I have had many different steels and I once chased the latest and greatest steels and embraced all the fancy sharpening bullsmurf, but in the end they really didn't make that much of a difference to me.  I know how to sharpen and I keep thye knives and tools I use relatively well maintained, so I don't have to worry about exceptional edge holding because I don't mind sharpening.

Plus I have nice diamond stones so hard steels don't scare me.

The Police is a droolworthy piece of kit; rather enjoying the laptop (tablet?) stickered background, too. :tu:

That is indeed my laptop.  It has a few stickers on it.... I had done the same thing with my first netbook and I think that contributed to my feeling of loss when it died.  Nowadays everything seems to come with stickers and manufacturers hand them out at shows like they were candy, so I thought what the heck!

One of the good things about this Police already being a bit beat up is that I won't feel too bad using the heck out of it!

A bit off topic, but not much.

I only have a little Ladybug but I like it so much that I thought that a bigger Spyderco would replace my Opinels nicely for EDC (although at their price I have no doubt that they are much more cost effective).
I already ordered a FFG Endura 4, so this will be it, but I wonder, what would be the best big Spyderco for EDC?
I didn't open a new thread because knives are not multitools. Well, in my opinion, knives are THE multitools, because they can do a million different tasks, and what are called multitools here are just multitools that contain multitools, with the exception of some bladeless artifacts for UK poor souls.
I'll post a pic of my Endura when I'll receive it, in order to be in topic again, until then I am all ears.

Co-pilot. An old spyderco that I was after for months. Don't know why, I just like the small size and shape.
