I have been wanting one of those UKPK for a while now.  :tu:

Sadly I have had one bad experience with a Spyderco product, but I don't hold it against them.

Your making me jealous. Great pictures.  :tu: I have always wanted a Endura or Delica in ZDP189. How does it compare to VG-10. I have heard very good things about ZDP189.

Thanks captin.

Zdp 189 is very hard and holds a awesome edge but it is brittle and non stainless.

Vg10 isn't as hard and won't take as fine or hold as good of a edge but is much easier to sharpen and is stainless.

I still can't decide what steel I prefer between the two.

Both have there place.

I agree with JA on this one.  I have a FFG Delica 4 with ZDP-189, and it's an excellent blade steel for an EDC-type knife.  It can cut and slice all sorts of stuff and still be hair-popping sharp at the end of the day.  I haven't had to sharpen my Delica yet, but I'm guessing it will be on par with S30V in terms of effort required for sharpening.

For a hard use knife, I think VG-10 would be the way to go.  Like JA said, it's a softer steel, which means it won't hold an edge as well, but it is less prone to chipping, and stainless is obviously a big plus.
