TV - Defiance

So, who's watched the Defiance pilot... and what are your thoughts?

I know a lot of you are space western (Firefly) fans like myself, and I felt it sort of hit a bit on what I loved about Firefly...

Of course it's still early days... but I am liking what I've seen so far, and it's almost filling that space based SciFi void I've been complaining about...

turning into just a futuristic cowboy movie with aliens... I think they're going the wrong direction.

My wife watches it and likes it. I could go either way on this one.

Hmm ya I had them saved as well as was going to watch them, but its sounding odd.  I'll wait for a review after the first season.

It's a pretty standard "loner comes to town and ends up the sheriff" plot - but in a post apocalyptic scene.

I've watched the first 3 and haven't gone back for any more...

It feels like it's going a bit stale already... I still like it, but feel like the promised plot from the pilot has been put aside for now.

Perhaps due to the need for the game to tie in with the show, and seems they aren't keeping up. I'm very interested in the game but not enough to cough up the funds they're asking.

It is alright and something to enjoy with the missus. The story is a little flaky sometimes though.

I like it, but... I don't know. I'm wishing it had a bit more western to it.

I still like it, I'll hang in until the end... I did with Stargate Universe, which I felt started really slow then got good as it was winding up for cancellation. It's not like there's a whole lot of Scifi currently left out there...
