Looking on suggestions for a AAA light, have some specific requirements

I need some help finding a AAA light for EDC but I have some specific requirements. I currently have an Arc-P but I'm not really a fan of it. I don't like the LED and lack of a lens. What I'm looking for is a single AAA light, with a smooth body, made from stainless. The reason for the smooth body is because I want something that slides nicely into the elastic loop on a LM sheath, the reason for stainless is pretty simple. That's just what I want. The knurling on the Arc makes it a pain to slide in and out of the loop. I'm pretty open on budget, I don't mind spending more for better technology or craftsmanship.

Thanks!

Nitecore T5. 3 mode light that starts in high mode (65 lumens).

If you prefer something starting in low mode, Klarus Mi x6 or 4Sevens Preon Titanium.

You may want to check out the Peak Eiger. Oveready.com has options for a shaved stainless body. These lights aren't cheap, but Peak made some of the original Arc AAA bodies, so they know what they are doing and they are bomb proof.

The Eigers do have lenses, but they are lexan, so they can scratch. Peak will send you replacements for free, and they are pretty easy to change. They use optics instead of reflectors, so scratches aren't as noticable.

Alternatively, I highly recommend the Fenix LD01. The last stainless version is a great light, but very hard to find now. The HAIII version is still a great light.

I do regret not buying a stainless LD01 when I had the chance.

Millhouse is right on here, IMHO.

I'd personally go with the Ti Preon myself, except I'd put a clicky switch on it, instead of the flat tailcap, as I prefer clickies over twisties.

Wow, Thanks for the great suggestions! I like the looks of all of them. It's a hard decision between all 3 Millhouse suggested, so all 3 have been ordered. It's good to have variety.

Take a look at the ultrafire UF-T1. AAa, twisty, 2 mode and smooth body. Also, made of titanium!

Once you've gotten them and tried them out against each other, you can always offer up for trade here the ones you don't want.  That way you can turn them into a nice SAK or MT to complement your light.   :tu:
