Help me find a file that will fit into my Sideclip.

Lately I've been wanting to spruce up my Sideclip. It needs a full cleaning/reoiling, so I figure this is a good chance to change it up a bit as well.

I think I'd like to attempt to fit a file in the spot that the blade sits in. The stock blade is about 2.5 inches from center of pivot to end of blade.

I remembered SOG sells their components separately, so I was thinking about trying their file. It's a little long at 3 inches, so I anticipate needing to reprofile it a bit to fit space available.

Has anyone on here used SOG MT parts in an older Leatherman? If so, share your experiences please.
