Well as promised, here's the low down

, it is in fact only a few week's old!, I wanted a Nessmuk/Mountaim Man style knife, I also wanted a knife that was made out of really basic materials (an old leaf spring in this case) that would need a lot of looking after, as much as I love my SRK and the vairous F1 style knives, I wanted something that was relatively maintenance intensive, this will rust, it will need sharpening after almost every use

So I asked my mate (Uncle Colin on BB) to knock me up a knife of this type, he'd never done one before (he usually does Bowies, infact one is in the Syderco museum

), but anyway he made it, then about half way through I asked him to ''antique'' it as I've always wanted a really classy looking old working knife

Well I'm dead impressed with the build and the fit and finish, and I can't wait to give it a road test, and although it's actually pretty big, (blades about 6 inches) I reckon it's pretty sheeple friendly as it looks more like a family heirloom rather than the latest Ninja De-Animator
