The standard CX has a PE blade odd they decided to put the CE on this one , I would be keen if it had a PE blade.Yep I reckon some kind of protective sleeve would be a good idea to protect the diamond file
To my knowledge(I could be wrong) they'll be using 420HC Stainless(the same steel used by Buck Knives), but with a better heat treat
Not too thrilled with this one. Exposed diamond file isn't a good idea. It will tear up pockets and/or sheaths. While I like the idea of adding a diamond file, the execution isn't the best.
MMost of these recent inovations, especially the snow boarding "tools" have been the product of Lee Leatherman. Since he's into extreme sports.Personally, I wish Lee was a fan of Doctor Who, And he could have the company concentrate its energies on making the ultimate multitool,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THE SONIC SCREWDRIVER(the last multitool anyone will ever need/want)
Solution seems easy. Flip the file over, and pivotable. The rivet on tail end attaches to a separate piece with a notch which engages another notch on tip of file, and lock it in place till needed.
