I dont know if they are world wide or just UK based but St. John Ambulance
http://www.sja.org.uk/sja/ is a charity that offers first aid training , first aid cover at public events and amongst other things first aid supplies . What has this to do with multitools ? Well in there catalogue they sell the Victorinox SwissTool
http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/products/default.asp?productId=F06066 So if its good enough for them then its sure as hell good enough for us
Which brings us to another matter , the UK knife laws
In a nutshell its illegal to carry in a public place any blade that locks unless you have a very good excuse .So just suppose you had a current first aid certificate and you found yourself in trouble for having a Swisstool on you in a public place . What better defence then saying " well they sell it in the St. Johns first Aid catalogue " . I'm not saying it would be acceptable but thats one of my excuses and I'm sticking to it
Which at the end of the day first aid is one of the reasons I carry a Swisstool .
Just wodered what you guys think ?
