Stumbled onto this thread while doing some research on pocketable tools to complement my MT. Thinking I'll be picking one up at the local Lee Valley this coming week. Should fit nicely in my current sheath setup and translate over into a Skinth at a later date.

Thanks to the help of Nikola I was able to aquire this McFreely's Pocketwrench II. Thank you Nikola for you generous help.  :salute:  I might add the teeth are the more rounded type of the earlier Pocketwrench II's.    :)

Loving my Pocketwrench II. Been carrying and using it for just over a week now. Love the form factor and it's quite functional to boot! Slips nicely into the belt pouch with my other MT accessories. Loved it so much, that I bought a backup just in case :tu:.

No problem, I'm just glad you were able to buy it before someone else did. :tu:

So you're just missing the Latshaw CV now?

Nikola the Latshaw CV is the only known one I'm missing. Who knows for sure at this point. There may be others but we shall have to wait and see what comes up for sale. I wish we knew more about the history of the pocketwrench.    :)

did anyone try to use the LM bits in the hex cout out? I know it works damn good with regular bits but this might be a bit extended versatility

Yes, it does, the LM bits are just longer, flattened, regular bits. But I did just re-test it. ;)

Just got the SS version today.

It's a bummer that the ruler engravings aren't double sided...

but otherwise i'm pretty happy with it.

Is there a reason to go with a pocket wrench 2 vs the pocket wrench 3?

Yes the reason to go with the PWII is because the PWIII doesn't exist yet. At least that I'm aware of at the moment.    :D

Don't know, never did it. Maybe a bump of that thread might get you answers from the guys who did. I think Sparky still carries his.

I find it works very well with the philips keyring I have, in between the philips end and the keyring end there is a hex section, which fits the pocketwrench driver exactly. Enhances the functionality of both keyring tools.

Wow, I want one of those "slim" PWs.  That's the best pocket wrench I've seen on the market; it would be great to back up MT pliers when you need to hold a bolt and turn a nut or whatever. The full size version just looks too bulky at the handle.
