So which do you guys prefere needle nose or blunt pliers ???

For my part I like blunt or blunter style pliers as most of the time if I'm using pliers it's strength I need more than reach and precision :)

So what about you ???

I would love to see the old style slip joint again in a tool. It would be nice to see the schrade tool done agian, but with a company that would put a serious effort into it.

I actually prefer needlenosed, but as I EDC a Swisstool I tend to carry a SAK or Clutch so I have the best of both worlds.

See its nice having a arch nemisis isnt it. You get all your frustrations out on them.

However it would be nice to see the tool done right.

That hurts... I always felt that you could judge a man by their enemies... if mine is a cheaply made hunk of crap, then that doesn't say much about me, does it?   ::)

No some of us just believe companies should put out a good product and then worry about profit margins. that way there would be no Taylor, or suspension. Just quality tools taht you are proud to use.

Now I would also love to see the original schrade back. with the laminated blunt nose, and the big handles that can withstand a mans grip and not buckle.

Huh I guess I got a new white wale.

No kidding. It is funny that all my tools now are needle and I really want the older type. I guess the old adage is right. You cant allways get what you want.

It is a shame period what happened to Schrade Cutlery.I never had a ToughTool.I always thought that they were pretty neat.Sears used to market a slip plier under the Craftsman line that I beleive they had made by Schrade.

To me Taylor seems like a Vulture that circles Cutlery Companys with well known names and reputations waiting for them to keel over. Then they can swoop in and feast off the carcass for their profit without putting in any of the work.

I like needle for a MT... I think it's just more versitile. Brute force seems more like a dedicated tool's job to me. But then again I've gotten extremely used to hammering/smashing/cutting at full strentgh with my linesman pliers, so "brute force" might mean a bit different thing to me than some others. :P

Needle, more useful. Anything that needs the strength of blunt nose I wouldn't use a multi to begin with.
