What does it sound like? Just kidding! Well, a hollow point is a bullet that is hollowed out in the tip.. When hit, it expands and causes A LOT OF DAMAGE!

Thanks for the lesson in shells.  Also a new respect of the mighty awl I will try and use this tool quite a bit more :multi:
Merit Badges Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge. Must update or add a page on the Multitool.org Multitool Encyclopedia Carry an orange item and post a picture of it everyday for 30 days. Start a thread with a photo of at least ten OPT's in your collection Participate in a challenge by carrying  a Leatherman Pulse or ST200 and post a photo of it  for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the Leatherman MiniTool for thirty (30) consecutive days. In this challenge,  carry one(1) Pliers-based or Non-pliers multitool that we always have prejudice against, hate or even fear and post a picture everyday for 30 days Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) In the spirit of the Batman utility belt. Yep, and also probably probably not screw up the sheetrock as bad.

Hollow points aren't designed for penetration.  They are designed to go into a target and dispel all of their force inside it, tearing the target up inside and not continuing on into a bus load of nuns driving along behind the target.

The mind boggles that a guy would do that intentionally.

Although it humiliates me to admit to it, years ago I did something similar with a .44 Special revolver with plain old Round Nose Lead ammo.

The slug went through an exterior wall, then an interior wall, then a cabinet full of glassware, then across a room, before imbedding itself deep into the leg of a walnut dining room table.  Gave me a greater respect for the good old .44 Special cartridge.

An AD like that could ruin your whole day.  ;>
