Your first option, Captain Hook, was much more convincing than for copper clip with a window more for titanium and other advanced materials. Copper is soft enough to turn the plot with holes perpendicular to and be fine.

Hey J, thanks! I think its been about 6 months since I made that first little hanger for the P7. ...and about 4 or 5 since I made that first copper proto of what would become the GearPull. But I've been a member at edcf since 06...so I've had a lot of time to think about edc in general, and all that "research" factored in

Syph: yes all waterjet cut. Did you know Kickstarter is now open to Canadian creators? If you want info on the waterjet guys I used just let me know via PM. I'm pretty sure you would do really well with a ti sak mod project. KS is a great platform and you would reach all kinds of new clients.

Oh really, last I checked it was only UK and US. They dont allow knife projects from what I remember though.

I left the piece of rubber out of the pic because it made the whole assembly less photogenic, but I sandwich one between the surface of the GP and the rod that does the bending, otherwise they would all be badly scratched. The stationary rod for the inner part of the bend is not a concern because it doesn't move across the surface of the metal. The other option would be to use a nylon sleeve/washer with a smaller diameter steel rod...but ultimately the closed cell rubber (1/8") is the least marring.

This jig is pretty hack and ugly but i was happy to find a less strenuous way to do all these consistently. I even bought 2 "universal benders" when I started to get nervous my own jig wouldn't hold up to the volume.
Neither worked in the end because they were not adjustable enough. I would stay away from all commercial benders in the 100-300$ range for this kind of small work.

The best part is I used Gearpulls to make the jig. see the arms of the bender? those are butchered GP's
