i have this, its really reliable and simple gadget,i only wonder do they offer spare parts since the pin that presses the chain loose,in my own,is worn so much that it doesnt split 7 speed chains that are thicker.
I still haven't used any Crank Bros tools. No idea about the availability of spare parts.
Tarro, was yours used much to become so worn?
yes.its defineteley one of the best,if not THE best quality multi around, for bicycle use.ive used it harsh for almost five years and as u might know, most of my travelin ill do with bike.and i used to work at mtb shop and also there i used on daily basis.so if youre not ridin and wrenchin every day as iam,it´ll last much longer.and i use hard racing chains with really tight pins, they eat the splitting tool faster too i think.i actually just 15 mins ago arrived from 30km trip to one lake, had to split the chain of my friends full-suspension bike,as he broked his derailleur.i also have soma woody 20 multi always with me,it is also very well made.
