Interesting SAK copy
on: June 27, 2013, 05:37:22 AM
I saw this sak copy on ebay. I wouldn't give it a second thought but then I looked at the magnifier. It appears to have a metal frame. Since this is a deliberate sak copy, I wonder if the magnifier could be put in a real sak?

Looking at the edge on view, it appears the Phillips and Mag Glass are a lot thinner than the Vic' ones.

Looks like the typical POS SAK-a-like.  For something described as "New - Not Used" it looks pretty beat up.
Scratches all over, small blade looks like it was ground on a concrete block and a nicely bent corkscrew.
AND the tosser has the cheek to say "Victorinox, eat your heart out!" in his listing.

Personally I wouldn't pollute a Victorinox knife with parts from a Chinese knock-off.

Good points PTRSAK. But now I'm wondering if I could have a modder here  make me a metal frame for the old style mag glass

haha John, that has been on my "ToDo" list for the longest time. I even have some 6061-T6 plate to make one from but my Tuit has gone square...

I need to get a round Tuit.  :D
