It was a dark and stormy night...oh wait, that's a different story.   :P

I had been carrying 91mm Vics for quite some time when I came very close to ruining the bottle opener/large screwdriver on one due to excessive application of torque to a stubborn screw.  I was aware of alox models thanks to hanging out on another SAK-related forum, and moving up to the 93mm series for EDC seemed like the logical next step, so I purchased an alox soldier.   I carried it regularly for several years, and though it isn't currently in my EDC rotation, I continue to consider it an outstanding and rugged pocket knife.

Subsequently, I also expanded my alox collection to include pioneers, cadets, electrician pluses (electricians plus?), pioneer harvesters, farmers, and money clips.

A few years ago, when I started to look for some little pocket tool to carry around, I looked for a SAK. I knew this for a long time and they look very "harmless" to carry at work. I went to the Vic site and browsed all the SAKs. I now have some 5 or 6 alox (and the same version in regular scales). I mostly colect them but some I use occasionaly.
