Used to have a hard case for my specs, but when I got my last set,I went to reaction lenses, and with the mods they done to actually get the specs to hook round my ears, its easier just to wear them all the time

I'm the same as you TD....

So I picked up some 'reading glasses' at the 99p shop
They work for me but I keep bending them in my pocket (and I'm not made of 99p's)

(I only got them because Gareth was taking the micky  :P )

And I've found loads of options on Fleabay  :ahhh (bid placed)

Given that you seemed to be using that magnifier instead of glasses I think this might be a good idea mate. :D

I keep my reading glasses in a cheap-ish plastic case that I got from my optician, about as slim as it can be and still fit the glasses inside.  No idea what the brand is though.

Glasses are a nightmare tony,i would wear mine on my head like i do my sunglasses but my reading glasses arms spring both ways so fall off my head   :-\ i put them in a top pocket and they fell out at work and i lost them for 2 weeks, when they was found under a residents bed they was pretty bent from the hoist,i tried a neclace but dangles and annoyed me,so i keep mine in a hardcase in my backpack, sadly though means there not always at hand  :-\

Yep you were right uncle Gareth  :D

Paul,
One of my problems is my pockets are stuffed full and I'm always crawling under things so they get squashed,
I think a lanyard would annoy me aswell
I might need a bigger sheath to accommodate a proper glasses case
or I might start wearing a tool belt  :-\

Lets see what I can 'win' on Fleabay

Still open to sugestions but I think a dog needs more looking after than the glasses Kirk

I have Oakley Transistor eyeglasses that came with a case and a sock. I keep those in that. My Oakley Jawbones also have a case and sock that they are kept in as are my Eye Jackets. If I can, the eyeglasses case goes in a cargo pocket. If no pocket, they go in my pack. The Jawbone case stays in the pack. If I'm riding the bicycle, I keep the sock in my jersey pocket with a set of spare lenses in the pouch that they have. I can't post pics now but I may later with no promises.

Thanks Terry  :salute:

I was out-sniped on Fleabay :(

I went to the hard case because back in March I took a trip and had my glasses in a cargo pocket in the sock only. I went to grab them out and they fell apart in my hands

So, what did you try to get from Fleabay?

Witz case- they've taken plenty enough hard whacks and protected my glasses. My usually one has a heavy wrap of tape to hold it to a MALICE clip to attach to my various bags, and becuase a spare 20 feet of electricians tape never hurt anyone.

I keep a set in my car, a set on my desk at work and a set in my pocket in a fairly slim metal case. It's about two years old now and pretty battered and squashed but the important thing is that my glasses aren't. By the time I've got glasses, keys, phone, gloves and an MT in my trousers the pockets are bulging but that's the price I pay for having everything I need regularly close to hand. If I could find a decent way of mounting the glasses case horizontally on my belt like my Leatherman sheath that would be wonderful.

When I'm not at work I often have a bag with me so some things get dumped in that. The problem I have with glasses is that I can't really drive without them but I can't read or walk for extended periods with them and the most recent set is the least bad I've ever had.

I haven't worn glasses for the past 8 years since I had laser surgery. When I did though, I had a hard case that was made for sun glasses.

I had a classic today - I'd been wandering around for ages with my glasses case in my pocket, came to put the glasses on for something and found I had an empty case
