A PST Observation . . .
on: August 31, 2013, 10:00:43 PM
In the past, I sold all of my LM's and today, am the proud owner of a REBAR.  That said, missing the PST terribly, I went on Fleabay to see what was available.  It seems there are loads of them - and some very reasonably priced.  Why is that?  Some are even NIP.  Well, I'll be saving for one, or two... or three...  :multi: :D

I've been carrying my KST for the last few weeks at work, and really enjoying it.

Go on,pull the trigger...you NEED a PST :pok:

Some possible contributing factors include:
- they sold in large numbers,
- people carry them with them a lot,
- they get confiscated at airports,
- people update to newer/different MTs/SAKs
- people decide they aren't using them anymore, and
- people want $$$

I haven't EDCed my PST in years but I'm thinking about giving it a week in my pocket this week because of this thread. It would be nicely paired with the Squirt S4 or Huntsman

I really like my PST/PSTII, and enjoy browsing them on Ebay.  I may get one more PST, preferably NIB like my PSTII was.  It's a good little MT, and is very easy to carry due to how slim and lightweight it is.  My new Ranger Plus pairs nicely with them since it has a saw and the PST does not, as well as the nice Vic scissors.  All this PST love lately is really making me want to get another one >:D

One thing to consider... It might not be seen as "sexy" as the newer models, some people do choose form over function...

Just my 2 eurocents

This is a good point as well.  I actually prefer this classic Leatherman style to the newer "sexier" designs.  That's part of the reason I love the Rebar really.

As to why PSTs are on ebay at reasonable prices I haven't a clue. I do prefer the original models vs the new technology. The plain  simple tool works for my needs and lifestyle. tom. :multi:
