The catalyst was the Carver. After I saw that fantastic bright green in person, I just couldn't help myself. I had to have them all, and fortunately this entire haul was only a third of the funds brought in by the sale of a single Hinderer XM-18. :D What can I say? Priorities and tastes change.

The P.O. was holding this, as I had the little pink slip in my mailbox. I walked over there this morning, and saw that the return address was Roger Remund out in GA.

A short trip home and the dream poured forth from the modest package.

Be free my new minions!

Starting off with a cute but functional Rambler:

Moving on up a size, the sexy Lumberjack:

Jumping up a size again, but in the same spirit, here's the Bushcrafter:

We can add some extra tools there and come out with the Farmer:

Perhaps we don't need a saw...then we'll move along to +B's greenlicious Soldier:

And throwing all the bladeness into one fun outdoor companion, the piece that started it all, the Carver:

Green is one of my favorite non-gray colors. Primarily, I'm a black/silver kind of guy, but if there's going to be color I'll go to green first. These things are just gorgeous, and there's so much enjoyment just staring at them.

I ordered these on Friday, they were shipped out on Monday, and technically got here yesterday. Picked them up today, and that is some awesomeness.

Cheers gents!

Wowzers!

That green looks fantastic.

If it was desert island time, and you had to pick one which would it be?

And wouldn't the carver be better with a combination opening tool instead of the second big blade?

Or is that heresy?

I am totally with you.  Those Apocalypse Green scales are the best colored scales since the deep blue.

My other thoughts?

I love the Lumberjack as a compact tool. I may have to try and find one of the Apocalypse green ones...

Sir, your complete collection is

Nice collection :tu:
Will any be users?
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Probably the Carver. The extra blade and Pruner blade seem very useful woods use, more so than the openers. I actually got the Carver primarily for the vegetable picking excursions that the wife and I like to go on in upstate NY. The other reason is to just carve things while I'm bored at someone's house. :D

Or is that heresy?

I'm not sure...the two large blades is kind of the charm about the Carver, and its notion of all-cutting. That's just me though, I really dig the extra blade.

Thank you sir.  :salute: The Lumberjack is really fun, I may have to carry this sucker around a bit and try the saw out. It's so odd how small the saw is, I'm used to the 93mm saw.

Thank you!  :tu:

You'll enjoy it, trust me. I did a little bit of...pruning outside with it. The small saw works very very well, and it disappears in the pocket. Seriously, it took me a few seconds to find where it was when I went outside to cut some branches.

Nice collection :tu:
Will any be users?

Oh absolutely! The Carver goes around with me now in the back pocket. Been toying with the Lumberjack today. So far the rest are safe queens, but that could change soon and I honestly expect it to.

I have to say guys, having a collection of these doesn't feel the same as having just knives... I have knife safe queens that I have no desire to use or carry. These though...I want to use them all, all the time.  :climber:

Thank you gents for the kind words. I'll say though, Mr. +B knows how to put together a nice SAK. I can't wait for Blade Show next year to see what he's got at his table. :D

Because of this thread, I've bought an Alox Lumberjack.  I have one I bought a few years ago but haven't carried much because I didn't want to trash it.  Now, it will be my goto SAK when I'm carrying my Leatherman Charge ALX.  I like having a SAK along for cutting food items (bags of feed, vegetables in the garden, etc) since I use the blades on the Charge for cutting all sorts of gawdawful things.

A great collection of knives.  A great color.  I am constantly reminded that the earlier one started collecting SAKS the better the collection and the better prices on those original purchases.
